I was a little dismayed that the words and concepts in this book seemed so advanced for a 2 year old. My grandson just loved it and wanted it read every night. He's now 4 and this book is still one of his favorites. If you don't want your child talking baby talk this book is a great way to introduce him or her to large words and the correct terminology of the parts of a garbage truck. glad I didn't send it back!!

Got Garbage? edition by Yvonne Jones Children eBooks Reviews

My son is a huge fan of all things to do with trash, and this book covers a lot of it. Several types of trash trucks, dumpsters and trash carts are pictured and described in this book, and some technical aspects are described.
I was disappointed in this purchase.. Based on the details, I thought it would be an easy reactor my two and 1/2 year old. The recommend age is3-6 but I found that even at 3 years old, some of the words were on a middle school level. The pictures were mediocre at best. Pictures were very pixelated, smudgy and cannot make out any details.. I would not recommend this book to any child under the age of 10. This was not published by a big publisher. By the details inside the book, I believe that it is published by a very small publishing company. Shorten the paragraphs, use basic or smaller words and clean up the images and this,as be a good book for children under the age of 10. Stick with " I stink!" By Kate McMullan
I was excited over the idea of this book as my son is wild about garbage trucks. When I received the book I was absolutely shocked at how poor the print quality was. It looked as though someone printed the pages from their VERY OLD ink jet home printer and stapled it together. The pictures of the trucks were so blurry it seriously looked like a printing and graphic mistake. The graphics are so bad, my eyes literally hurt to look at the pages. I'm wondering if this copy slipped by quality control and should have been shredded and recycled instead of sold and shipped.
Very disappointed at the quality of pictures. It was blurry.
Do not buy this book. I bought it as a gift for my 3 year old son who loves garbage trucks. I was extremely disappointed..the illustrations are horrible. They are so blurry it appears as if they were imported as clip art and printed on a home printer from the 90's. You literally can't even look at the pictures without your eyes hurting. The text is pretty awful too. It reads like a poorly written textbook. It seems as if this was home-made, it even has the date that it was "printed for you" aka on someone's out-of-date low pixel home printer. My son loves everything that has to do with garbage, and he wanted nothing to do with this book. Bottom line, waste of money.
My 2 year old grandson loves garbage trucks. And he absolutely loved this book. He was thrilled with it.
The illustrations were good.
This book is terrible for children. They have obviously taken pictures and blown them up. The pictures are VERY blurred and pixelated.
Terrible example for children. For $9.50 I expect better quality. Would never recommend this book.
